Special Edition TILT: Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day! I may not have a valentine but that doesn't mean I don't love Valentine's Day! What's not to love about a holiday that's all about pink and hearts? To me Valentine's Day has never been about fancy dinners and expensive presents. I would much rather have a silly little gift than one of those ugly pieces of jewelry in all the commercials right now. I love to wear pink or red on Valentine's day and do my nails in a fun festive design! This year I'm thinking of doing conversation heart nails! I'll blog about them if I do.

What do you like to do for Valentine's Day?

Blog Makeover and I Suck at Blogging

Ok so first of all I totally suck at blogging. I keep telling myself that I'm going to get on a schedule and post three blog posts a week. I have only accomplished this once haha! I'm really going to try to be better, because I enjoy writing this blog and I have lots of ideas! There are a couple of blog posts I know I'm going to be writing soon; including a Cherryculture.com haul, a recent nail polish haul, and a NYX lipstick review.

If you haven't already noticed my blog got a makeover! My lovely friend Wendy made me the new banner! I love it, it's so girly and cute. I love the splash of pink across, it looks like blush! I just wanted to say thanks again Wendy, you're the best!

See you soon..... hopefully :)

Tilt: Neon

I am so in love with NEON right now! I want everything to be neon: my nails, my jewelry, my clothes! I think part of why I love neon is because I'm ready for it to be spring and summer! I just love bright pops of color. I'm an 80's kid so that might be part of my love of neon!

Do you love neon? Will you be trying this trend?

Tilt: Pinterest and Pink

I am sooo in love with the site Pinterest! I have the app on my phone and spend way too much time on it. I like looking at all kinds of stuff on there. Obviously I look at the Hair & Beauty section, but I'm really into the Home Decor section lately. I've been pinning lots and lots of pink things, my favorite color. You can check out my pink board here! I like looking for pink things for my bedroom, which will eventually be fully decorated in pink, white and pale green (it's somewhat in those colors now, but not exactly how I want it). I'm very drawn to vintage and "shabby chic" looking things. Also I really like little kitschy knick knack things, like the poodle!  Here's some of my favorite things I've pinned:

I love the writing on the pink walls, I think this would be fun in a closet with wall space or like a little nook. I adore Paris and Eiffel Tower pictures, I want to find a big one to hang over my bed. How cute is that little pink poodle! The dresser is so beautiful, I love the look of older furniture painted new!

My favorite pink thing I've found on Pinterest is this quote from Aurdrey Hepburn. It's just so me! I'd love to paint it on a canvas or something to hang in my room!

Do you have a Pinterest? I'd love to follow you! If you don't already have one and need an invite comment below and I'd be happy to send you one!

Tag Tuesday: Nail Tag!

I think I'm going to start doing Tag Tuesday! I'm just going to find random tags that are nail or beauty related for the most part and answer the questions! I thought this would be a fun way for people to get to know me better and if any of you do the tag I can get to know you better! So here we go!

Nail Tag:

1. What’s your favorite nail polish company?
Probably OPI, but I'm not super picky I like all brands.
2. Glitter or no glitter?
Glitter! Well I like no glitter too, but I just really love glitter at the moment.
3. OPI or China Glaze or Essie?
        OPI, then China Glaze
4. When do you start to take off your nail polish?
I'm really bad about this, but usually once like have of it has peeled off or I've picked it off.
5. What’s your favorite color on your nails?
Pink! To be specific OPI Cancun Fiesta (although I think its discontinued)
6. Darks or brights?
Brights usually, but I do like darks in the fall and winter.
7. What are you wearing on your nails right this moment?
Ahh this is bad for a nail polish person, but I don't have anything on my nails at the moment but now I'm going to have to paint them as soon as I finish this post!
8. Matte nails—in or out?
In! I really like matte over glitter!
9. French manicures?
I don't really like traditional french manicures for myself but I do like funky color french manicures!
10. Favorite color for each season?
Spring: Lavender or Mint. Summer: Bright Pink. Fall: Deep Purple. Winter: Cranberry.

I tag anyone who wants to do this tag! Either post it in the comments or post a link to yours in the comments I'd love to read them!

Nails: Matte Mermaid Sparkles

Continuing with the glitter posts! I like the look of a matte top coat over glitter, it's just so unexpected! I really loved OPI Mermaid Tears it went on so nicely in two even coats. It reminds me of China Glaze For Audrey, but more of a dusty teal. I did one coat of a multi-sized holo glitter on top, I wanted a scattered glitter look. I got the holo at Urban Outfitters on a sale table for $1! Then I put a coat of Hard Candy Matte-ly In Love. I got my Hard Candy from Walmart.

The polishes I used:
OPI- Mermaid Tears
NYX Girls- Spotlight
Hard Candy- Mate-ly In Love

Do you like the look of matte glitter?

Tilt: Glitter Polishes!!

So I decided I'd try to start doing "Things I Love Thursday" posts, or Tilts! Lately I've been super into glitter nail polish, see my previous post lol. I already had several glitters, but I HAD to have more haha! Glitters are so fun, I like using them when I don't have time to do a design, because it still looks different than just a solid color. The only drawback of using glitters so much is taking them off, it's such a pain! I really want to try a Deborah Lippmann glitter polish, especially Up In the Air, or I want to find a dupe for it.

What's your favorite glitter polish?
